Gianantonio Abate was born in Como. The work of Abate is configured in a poetry inspired by the urban world, artificial, mass-media. The artist began to use plastics, manufacturing environmental products that investigate the relationship between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional, with a very shiny and reflective mindset, in opposition to the then prevailing fashion of neo- expressionist painting.
